Time running out for rescued dogs at Devore Animal Shelter

130 Dogs Rescued From California Hoarder Now Face Being Euthanized As Shelter Runs Out of Money, Space

These dogs were rescued from a so-called animal shelter called "Rainbows End Animal Sanctuary" near Apple Valley.  According to reports, they were uncared for and had been living in a pack-like situation for at least a year or more.  Some have already lost their lived due to severe medical issues.

Some of the remaining dogs need ongoing medical care--most will need to be socialized with people before they can be adopted into new homes.  It's because of this that the Devore Animal Shelter says the rescued dogs must go into animal shelters first.

Many shelters in the Western US have offered to help, but the help of many more is needed to save all 130 dogs.  If you are connected with a shelter and can possibly help--even if it's only to take one dog--it would be far, far better than the alternative.  If everyone who was able took just one dog, there would be none presently living at the Devore shelter.

For Rescue Groups:

"Interested animal rescue groups should call the San Bernardino County animal shelter in Devore at 909-386-9820.

The Devore Animal Shelter is located at 19777 Shelter Way in San Bernardino."

These poor dogs. I hope enough rescues to step up so they aren't killed. Such a sad situation, all the way around.
