If not, I believe I'm going to send in some samples to Expertox. I'm concerned about these two brands. But around where I live, these are about the only brands without meat by-products.

A stray cat that I have been fostering, has had elevated BUN and Creatine levels. Doc said it may be either an infection, or kidney problems or just dehydration. She was on antibiotics since my cat bit her. I'm getting her blood retested next week.

Blue Buffalo dry food, all varieties.
NB dry and canned, all varieties.
Dates: The newest batches, 2008-2010 dates.

I already know about the previous recalls, I'm just wondering about the NEW batches that are currently on the shelves. I am curious to see if these companies are actually testing their NEWEST batches for all containments, not just melamine and cyanic acid.

I was also told that by a NB employee that their batches are huge, and only run a few times each year. So if they are doing testing, it's probably only on samples of these huge batches.

I guess I'll have to look into Expertox and send off some samples myself. But if Expertox finds something, it would be ashame and a wake up call for these companies.

MarkH-It would probably be a good idea to test it yourself if you're going to feed it.If you've been reading the Innova thread you know they don't run all the tests any of us think are needed. In pet food experiences by brand it says Kumpi is testing at Expertox & posting the results on their web site. I've never tried it. It does have grain in it.Might call them & ask some questions about vitamins or vit premix. Natures Logic only has millet & doesn't add vitamins. They answered most of the ? I emailed them, but not about testing. Good luck !
