Good post Peg...It doesn't take much from many to make ALOT...
It is because of Don's site that petowners were able to know how much Zinc was in this recent "voluntary" (don't make me scream) recall of several types of Nutro dry cat food...Nutro never posted publically how much was in the foods...It is no secret that I was the one to find and buy the recalled food the day after the recall was announced but if it were not for Don's site I doubt the results would have had the same impact...Don's site does get noticed and I am sure if it was just me trying to get the results made public...I would not have gotten too far.
I truly think that petowners need to have a site such as pfpsa.org to turn to for testing...even testing for "baseline" results are a good thing...we need to let the commercial pet food companies know that we plan to test and post and test and post! But it can only happen with continued support of the site...if you are not able to donate that is fine as times are tough----so how about just linking the site in your visits to other pet forums, blog, and articles...that can have a great impact too!
and remember....
