I am on a list and someone posted that their dog almost died from this food..They listed their test results and it came back positive for POTATO TOXIN Solanine 53.7 ppm ,Chaconine 28.8 ppm
I posted that they ought to look in here and to post their report HERE..I do not know yet if they will but they have a lot of questions and well  I wanted to give you EVO RM feeders a heads up

I hope this is the right area if not feel free to move it I am too tired to look for all the results a search could pull up on this...

Some Natura products have tested high for potato toxins as posted in Itchmo.

The copy of the toxin reports are in the Florida lawsuit amended complaint exhibits - page 41 & page 42

http://docs.justia.com/cases/federal/district-courts/florida/flsdce/1:2007cv21221/295436/258/2.html

Quote
innova evo ancestrial bites- chaconine 46.3ug/g solanine 43.3 ug/g
innova health bar baked treats dogs -chaconine 2.38 ug/g solanine 4.96 ug/g
innova evo no grain baked treats -chaconine 41.0 ug/g solanine 40.9 ug/g
innova evo no grain treats -chaconine 49.0 ug/g solanine 51.0 ug/g
california natural lamb & rice- chaconine 12.8 ug/g solanine 14.6 ug/g

The tests showed 4 out of five samples were  also positive for feather fragments. One sample was positive for hair. You could see  feathers in the kibble . These samples were from treats and dry food. You could also see hair sticking out.

Someone asked me to post the dog's symptoms  >>>

>>>
>>> X's signs first were diarrhea, runny eyes, redness of the white
>>> of the eye,  and then later shedding in October and November.
>>> Then came hair dull with a brown tinge and then refusing to jump
>>> into vehicle and had to be called twice to get his attention -
>>> these all happened in just a few days and then ended with
>>> vomiting. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

then she asked if anyone else had issues with the toxins and what they were.
Offy where on here could she find the potato toxin thread? thanks

Has anyone heard anything else regarding the potato toxins?  It’s interesting that this manufacturer has 3 dog food brands and 3 dog treat brands that have tested positive for potato toxins, with fairly significant numbers.

I know in the past there were continued attempts from various companies to discredit the findings of a private accredited laboratory, but how do they refute the findings of a State AG Dept.?

After reviewing the court documents again, it appears the State AG Dept. went direct to the store where the original tested product was purchased to secure additional samples to test. These samples also tested positive for potato toxins.  It states on the form the product was on the front sales shelf and was received from the store asst. manager.  Thus, these tests would have been done on product following the "legal chain of command."
