Oh Sandy Kiki was beautiful, I don't think I have seen a picture of her before. She is almost the spitting image of my Reggie who I lost to cancer on February 25, 2007.  He was a big time mama's boy.

Carol your post is so sad and so true if only the story had been broken earlier much heartache could have been prevented.  I too am grateful for this forum.

My heart aches for everyone who lost a companion.

Two years ago exactly my daughter sent me an email about an MSNBC report that
there was a pet food recall. Did I know anything about pet food? No, except you
went to PetSmart to get it. I looked at the email and thought "that's crazy." After
a few minutes, I called my vet's on a busy Friday-at-5:00 afternoon. The person who
answered the phone said "If there was a recall, we'd know about it," and dismissed my
inquiry relating to my one dead and two surviving with kidney failure cats.

What havoc and pain and tragedy ensued after March 15, 2007, for that was truly the
Ides of March 2007 with regard to pet murder in a lot of ways. Never, never, never forget!
Since there still have not been pet food ingredient reforms and safety testing implemented on any
significant scale, no matter how pretty the package or slick the ad, you're only one can, bag, or
pouch away from a similar pet food disaster.

3 cat, such a moving account  Cry.

Prayers for all who left us and especially Tooey whose parents, to this day, don't know that it was the food that killed him so quickly. There is no other explanation for what happened to such a sweet, lively boy.

My little babies, you'll always be in my heart. Mom will see you later. Look after each other, ok?

Bug, I'm so sorry for Tooey and for all the fur-kid family members lost to this March in 2009 and
continuing to be lost.

I was fortunate enough to not be affected by the 2007 recalls, but, on this sad 2nd Anniversary of that horrible incident, I want all who were affected to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers today.   Kiss
