That's fine, SusanP and Trudy.

And for everyone, no listing of food brands in your memorial section threads, please.

Sorry, I am confused.  Where do I post about my pet.  He was euthanized due to the pet food, acute renal failure.

BTW, great job, thanks for your time

Carol,

Yes, everybody can start posting.   Your posts are beautiful, Carol.

Those with sadly more than one lost or sick pet can also post them all in one thread if they so desire.  Use whatever style you feel comfortable with.  You can always change or add to your posts at any time.

Electronically challenged poster here. How do I embed the pictures, JustMe? I can
attach them at the bottom, but in this case want the pictures to speak for themselves
with the text. Thank you very much -- 3cats

Just speak from the heart and post. There are so many stories
and so many effects, and each one counts.

It's hurtful to post here and recall some memories you'd rather not have.
It does not have to be elaborate, but can be.
We just would like pet owners who lost family pets to tainted food to come by and post
their simple plain facts, or the story they want to tell, or the remarks they want to
make for the first anniversary of the Pet Food Recall on March 16, 2008.

I do not know how to embed photos either. I only know how to add them at the bottom of the post.  Sorry.  Sad

A very sweet poster sent me these directions, SusanP, which allowed me to do it, with some patience, as I'm electronically
challenged. You have to have a Yahoo ID to use Flickr, but the ID is free, too:

This has been posted in the "Help and Suggestions" thread and carolo was the one who taught everyone how.  But here it is with slight edits from Carolo's instructions:

1.  First you should sign into your flickr account.  If you don't have an account, you can create one in a jiffy and it is for free.  Go here:

http://www.flickr.com/

2.  Follow their simple directions for uploading your photos.
Once you have the photo you want uplodaded, then...

3.  Click on the photo you want to share and look above that photo among the options.

4.  Find "all sizes" and click on that, resulting in "large" size of your photo displaying.  I selected "medium," just to left of "large" and so then the displayed image is now a bit smaller.

5.  Below the shot you'll see two options for "To link to this photo on other websites you can either" and you want the second option, "grab the url."  You do that by clicking on that line which will highlight it and do a ctrl v or "Copy" from your tool bar at the top of your web page.  OK, you're almost home free now.

6.  Now back to Itchmo Forums on this page where you are/were (remember you have hit "reply" to message or topic to have window to post in) above the little faces there are two lines and you want the one that is second, directly above the faces.  Second from left is "Insert Image."  You can read that by passing cursor over ea thingy.  Click on Insert Image.  Now put your cursor between the two brackets in the middle.  Do a Ctrl c to copy OR "Paste" from your tool bar at the top of your web pae.  (I usually have two browser windows open when doing this to make it easy on myself but you can use just one if you want, grabbing the url of photo and then popping in here to hit reply and plop the url between the brackets you get for Insert Image.)  If uncertain the first time, do a "preview" and you'll see how easy it is!

SusanP, your post speaks volumes. Many know your pain.

Please help give the lie to the pet food companies' publicized 16 effected animals by posting
what you are able to. Your furkid does not have to have died, just have suffered an effect that
you truly believe is related.

JustMe and everyone:
Would it be appropriate to post an open comments thread under this forum on the First
Anniversary of the Pet Food Recalls so all could post their thoughts after having gone through the last year,
whether on losing a family pet, protecting a current furkid, what they have learned, what they are still concerned about?

3cat I was thinking about that too.  Also I wonder if people know about this thread.  I know someone was posting about losing 2 pets on another part of the forum.

Is there a way to alert people of this?
