Bart was a 5 year old spaniel adopted in Nov 2006.  Returned to the shelter in Feb 2007 in full renal failure.  Adopters returned him with Nutro. We cared for him as best we could. Euthanized May 2007.

Ellie May is a black and white DSH adopted Dec 2006.  Returned to shelter in March 2007 in ARF.  Family returned her with Nutro Max.  She's hanging in there today in CRF.

Jethro Bodine was a black and white tuxedo DSH. Returned to shelter Feb 2007 in ARF.  Returned with Nutro Max.  Euthanized April 2007.

[I fostered Bart and I now have Ellie.]

Arlo

Seems like a pattern here. You know nutro used to be a decent food some years ago, used to feed it here about 2 years back. switched to NB and have had good luck with that, knock on wood.

didn't nutro get bought by some company in the last year or 2

I used to think that anyone doing anything weird was weird. I suddenly realized that anyone doing anything weird wasn't weird at all and it was the people saying they were weird that were weird.

Arlo- At least they were able to be loved & taken care of for a short time. I don't do volunteer work because I don't think I could hold my tongue with people like that.

That's just heartbreaking.  Cry

Arlo, you are a special kind of person who can handle things like this without going stark raving mad.  Bart and Jethro are playing in the endless fields of green now and I pray Ellie will continue to thrive under your love and care.

THANK YOU & BLESS YOU for caring for these poor innocent animals.  And to your shelter for giving them a chance.  Most would have never given them an extra day.

Bart, Ellie May, and Jethro Bodine were so lucky to have your love, Arlo, when they needed it most.  Thank you.
