Purry, aka "Admiral Purry IV" aka "the Purp" aka "Woodpile"
Found trapped inside a pile of wood with 3 brothers and a mother cat next to our home on Mayday 1989. We figured the kittens to be 4 or 5 weeks old. Momcat was later trapped and adopted out by a local organization. One kitten went to my brother, one to a friend, and one went to a good no-kill shelter. The last kitten went directly into my heart and remained there for nearly the next eighteen years. Actually, he remains there still, even after crossing the Bridge in January 2007.
Many good times, some rough times. Through it all, he had a purr so loud it would often drown out the television!
He was showing signs of serious illness late 2006,  kidney failure came on fairly quickly and just overtook him.
Euthanized at the vets Jan 19,1007. He had eaten food that was later recalled. I miss you Purp!

Clarissa
Clarissa aka "Gull Girl", a very petite little black kitty with a little bit of white (looked just like the Tidy Cat logo). She was a surprise Christmas present from my husband about 13 years ago - the last and cutest little runt of a kitten abandoned at our vets office. Close to Christmas 2006 she just collapsed after eating and after many vet visits, procedures and tests later, the final straw was liver failure. She died at home on the sofa as I talked softly to her on February 8, 2007. She ate the recalled food - her favorite part was that gluten "gravy". I miss you my little bright eyes!
