Our Pepper: approximately 1987or '88-04/2007
Rest In Peace, my sweet "Peppie"

Soon Peppie, soon. I promise you, soon.
Pepper was a big-boned, lovable, loving girl kitty. She was the matriarch of all our cats past and present. She took them all under her wing as her own kittens, though she never had a litter of her own that we know of. She was thrown out of the window of a pickup truck at the age of approximately 7-months. By some divine intervention, my DH and a friend were on their lunch break and witnessed this. It was -10 degrees winter day. My DH ran after her and saved her from the road. She was emaciated. She was the sweetest of all kitties.
I shall forever blame the recalled and nonrecalled, wheat-gluten containing food and treats I fed her the last few months of her life for abruptly ending her life. Yes, she was elderly with early CRF, but her lab work had been remarkable for a girl of her age up until I started feeding her that cursed food in early 2007 because she could no longer eat dry food due to gum disease. She had violent reactions to these particular foods, but not to other foods. That is why in my heart of hearts I blame the food. There is no reasoning with me. None of my other cats ate it, none had violent reactions. Pepper is the reason I found Itchmo, and she is the reason I'm still here.
Peppie,
It's 1 year since you left us. We miss you very, very much, sweet girl! Where's your cappie?
