So, what are you currently feeding your cats?

Kibble, canned, homemade, raw?

We're currently using canned Wellness Turkey, Friskies Turkey & Giblets, Fancy Feast Turkey & Giblets, and Tiki Cat Sardines or Salmon.

Seems to be a lot of turkey, but my cats aren't too crazy about the current lots of Wellness Chicken we've tried.  I'm looking for something else to feed all our cats in addition to Wellness turkey.

Currently: Wellness mostly: Turkey, Chicken, Beef & Chicken.
A few Instinct Lamb, & Chicken flavors.
A few cans of Merrick Thanksgiving, Grammy's Pot Pie, & Turducken for variety.
Only Oscar eats a small amount of kibble along with his mainly wet food meals. This is Wysong's Uretic Felline Diet.

Mostly homemade cooked, a little raw-home prepared,Nature's Logic raw & Natures Variety raw. A little Wellness dry salmon & Nature's Logic chicken dry as a treat, some Wellness, Go Natural & Tikki & Weruva cans when low on homemade. I did just buy some Friskies cans & treats [they were very cheap & I had a coupon] . The Friskies will be given very sparingly.

I am still using the following:

Wet foods--Tiki Cat sardine flavors and occasional tuna flavors, Wellness 5.5 oz cans turkey, turkey & salmon, and chicken & herring, Pet Guard Feast flavor only, in 3 oz and 12 oz cans, NV Prairie Homestyle turkey & liver stew.  I am pulling my hair out because my cats are rejecting all other canned foods.  Also occasionally feeding a little plain cooked chicken thigh, wild salmon fillet, or cod fillet to those who can/will eat them.  Poor Linley, who can't eat fish, is eating only the Wellness turkey and Pet Guard, plus some dry.  I wish I could find more variety that they would eat!

Dry foods--California Natural Chicken & Brown Rice (no fish), Fromm Duck a la Veg and Salmon a la Veg (only two cats will eat the salmon one.)  Again, I wish I could find more variety, but virtually all the dry foods have fish in them, the grain-free ones make my cats constipated, some contain dried milk which I won’t use since the melamilk scandal.  Choices are extremely limited.

Treats--Bravo freeze-dried turkey hearts, salmon, and cod.  Aunt Lucy's freeze-dried chicken when I can find it.  Had some Halo freeze-dried salmon treats since they are easier to come by than the Bravo for me, and will use up the jar, but am re-thinking buying more in view of recent Halo issues.

My kiibble addicts are eating:

Science Diet Maturity Plus (active longevity, indoor, hairball control) and Iams Renal (for CJ when she will eat it).
Wellness Cans (turkey, chicken, turkey/salmon, chicken/herring) and sometimes Jess gets the ProPlan wet but hasn't been eating well of that lately.

We make the rules.  Mommy tries to follow them (she's a bit slow to learn).

Bubba, Teddy, Petey's rules:

Our food must have gravy and pieces.  We prefer what you have to mail-order, as well.
We will accept no pate foods.  We will accept:

Natures Variety Homestyle from the Prairie (not the Prairie, that you accidentally ordered, thinking it was the same)-- Duck & Chicken Stew, Lamb & Liver Stew, Turkey and Liver Stew.

Weruva- chicken flavors

Tiki - chicken (Mom will give us some Tiki sardines once every couple of weeks)

Wellness pouch - but only the green one.  Mom says it's Turkey and Chicken.

Our kibble is Eukanuba (Mom measures a small amount each day.  We would like our bowl full all the time.  She doesn't understand this.)

We get dried salmon treats each day.  Once a week Daddy gives us some fingerfuls of yogurt.

We like homemade Quick Poultry Feast, but Mommy hasn't felt like cooking, since Angel Beanie left.

We will not eat any homemade prepared with BalanceIt, because the vet suggested it.  Who would listen to her?  She has needles.

Grub's rules:

Just because I ate it yesterday, doesn't mean I like it today.  Never give me the same flavor twice in a row.
Canned food is better with fish.  I will accept (maybe):

Fancy Feast Salmon, Chicken, Chicken & Beef, Beef, Beef & Liver, Chunky Gluten-y Chicken.

Wellness Beef & Salmon, Turkey & Salmon, Chicken & Herring

Tiki sardines

Every four weeks or so, I will stop eating my kibble.  Go out and buy something different.
I may eat:
Science Diet senior varieties, or Nature's Best
No more Iams Renal - I won't eat that anymore.

Canned:
Wellness: Turkey, Chicken, Turkey & Salmon, Chicken & Herring
Medi-cal: Recovery (as a boost for Scrapper)

Dry (occasional):
    Go! Natural: Grain-free Chicken/Turkey/Duck

Recently removed Fancy Feast (pate versions only) and Friskies from the rotation again - Trista was more likely to scarf & barf both, and Friskies may have been one of the triggers for some of Scrapper's episodes. So far everyone is eating the current selection so we'll go with it while we can.

Wellness canned Chicken, Turkey, and Turkey and Salmon
Nature's Variety Homestyle canned Duck and Chicken, Turkey and Liver (Liver flavor only about once a week)
Tiki Cat fish flavors
Occasional cans of Cal. Natural or Innova when the store has it.
Fish flavors are only fed about once a week.
Booper gets Science Diet W/D to help his uh, pooper along. He gets a topping of whatever the others are having.

Some kibble, Science Diet Hairball Control Adult.

Dry: Ziwipeak venison and venison&fish. I gave up on the lamb, they didn't like it. I am considering adding some
freeze-dried but haven't done so yet. Kibble is out of the question since any kind of kibble results in blood in No. 2 for Sophie and weight gain for Mitzie.

Wet: Aixia, Almo Nature, Applaws, various flavors.

Raw: Once a week, just meat or sashimi, whatever happens to look good.

Treats: various freeze-dried (chicken, salmon, duck).

Farm Cats: all frankenprey raw!!!  Using chicken, beef, pork, turkey, and lamb currently.  Also a canned sardine a week for each cat.

Nightmare: canned with raw mixed in.  After a year still am working on transitioning him over to raw.  The canned is Sophistacat and Friskies - he won't eat any other canned and I refuse to feed him dry...

Milo and Mikey: All canned.  Natural Balance (all fish free flavors), Wellness grainfree (all fish free flavors) are the main ones.  They split a raw quail once or twice a week.

Milo occasionally will get SD K/D wet because of  his CRF.  Milo also gets (cooked) egg whites mixed into his wet food everyday.  He was diagnosed with CRF two years ago and is still doing great.

Treats for Milo and Mikey: Wellness Pure Delights.  They love them!  Chosen for the slightly higher moisture content (20% moisture) and the ingrediants.
