Hi Debi,

I'm just compiling a list from members' posts.  I haven't personally been in contact with TOTW, but other members have.

Thank you.  Grin

Okay, I know I said no off topic on this thread, but I just wanted to commend new member wicked fate.  Good job contacting Weruva!  Thank you!

I also contacted Nature's Balance, and this is the response I received. I believe this is a no, but they sort of danced around the question if they use the Trouw. Anyone else have any input from them?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Natural Balance regarding our products. Please know that we have not had any recent recalls. Furthermore, Natural Balance has a strict testing policy to insure the safety of our products in which we test ALL of our products/batches for nine different contaminates. Not only does Natural Balance test for these 9 different contaminates, we also test ALL of our formulas quarterly at an independent laboratory (Midwest Laboratories) to ensure that our vitamins and minerals meet the AAFCO nutrient guidelines. These contaminates would include Salmonella, E. coli, Ochratoxin, Zearalenone, Fumonisin, Melamine, Cyanuric Acid, Aflatoxin, and DON (Vomitoxin).  We post all of our test results online at http://www.naturalbalance.net/PetFoodScreening.tpl for our customers to view.

Sincerely,

wicked fate- I received the same response & added them to the pfc;s who won't say trhread. I'll add a note to that post. I emailed back;
Kristi,
 I am aware that you are testing and posting the results,I wish more pfc's would do the same. However you didn't answer my question as to where you get your vitamin and mineral premixes. Please be aware that several pet websites are keeping track of which companies use Trouw and which companies will not say who they use. People are obviously leaning towards the food produced by companies who will answer the question. Thank you ,---.
ps anyone who got a non answer from somewhere,feel free to use that email.It got an answer.

Per Del Monte Consumer Affairs: "Del Monte Pet Products is aware of this situation and our products have not been recalled. We do not use the same mineral mix supplier as Nutro."

2nd reply from Natural Balance after I told them they didn't answer my question:

Hello,
Please know that the vitamin/mineral premixes are from DSM Nutritional products. Therefore, we are not associated with Trouw. Again, I encourage our customers to view more information regarding our “Buy with Confidence” program on our website at http://www.naturalbalance.net/PetFoodScreening.tpl
Have a good day.

Add Fromm to the list of those who do not use Trouw.  I received this information from them today.  They also stated that they test all their raw materials.

(If a little company like Fromm can do this, why not a giant company like Mars/ Nutro? Huh)
