Feline Spongiform Encephalopathy

"The condition in cats is believed to result from ingestion of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE)-contaminated food."

Well, this raises the whole issue of FSE in cats from prions in rendered downer cattle used in pet food. TSEs are not killed by heat.
