It can't be just my cats that do this.  In the water dishes or in the litter boxes.  Wassup?

I have not seen toys in litter boxes, but I sure do find them in water bowls and food dishes!  With the water bowls I often wondered if they were "drowning" their prey.

I don't currently have any who put their toys in the litter boxes, but did in the past.  As I've mentioned before, Linley is one who "drowns" his.

I wonder if the ones who put them in litter boxes are hiding their "prey" for later.

Cameo puts toys in our shoes.  She seems to make a game of putting them in and taking them out again.   She also steals small objects (she's especially fascinated with pens) and hides them under her cat bed.  I wonder if the litter box hiding is similar.

Drowned mice.
Foam balls in litterboxes
Hard, painful toys in my shoes.

Oh and I have been missing my engagement ring for 2 weeks now.  Told DH it was soaking.  Found it today, under the cover of one of their sleeping baskets.  Also found a shredded $20 bill.  Apparently I have a klepto in my house

Obviously, in their minds, the "staff" has nothing better to do   Wink

I have one that puts toys in his water.  I read that it's their way of claiming ownership.  I guess like a kid putting their toys in a toy box.

Peg, that is really funny! Can't stop laughing. Mine have put things in the water dish and food dish, but not the litterbox.

I have one of those!  "My green foam ball, don't touch."

My kitty can catch a toy in the air. Do all cats do that?

I've had cats that would do that too, Mickey, but not all of them would. They all seem to have different likes and dislikes.
