How can they be sure it is safe?  Because the FDA says so?  I'm afraid that yardstick doesn't work for me.  The FDA has been wrong before ....so many times!

This company may genuinely be trying to help people find a food they can feel ok to feed to their pets.  Or, they may be trying to make a profit off of people's need for reassurance.

My opinion is that we are still at a point where no one can say any food is safe.  All we can do is research the foods as thoroughly as we are able, and make the best choice we can based on what criterion is most important to us.

We are genuinely trying to help our customers & people find a food that is absolutely natural and safe to feed their pets. We are not trying to capitalize on this horrendous tragedy that has befallen thousands of pet owners across the United States.

How can I be sure that I am providing safe food? Because the USDA/APHIS inspects our plants and they are 100% guaranteed safe. We pay thousands of dollars for tests to be performed on production runs to test for inconsistencies. We self-regulate our production runs and have been doing this for years-it's not something we just started doing because of the pet food recall. I stand behind my product 100%. One of my proudest moments was when one of my customers told me she didn't have to worry about anything when she heard about the pet food recall because she was feeding Petworth food.

I own a small, family business and we treat our customers like they are one of the family. To say that I am trying to make a profit off of "people's need for reassurance" is insulting.
