Another hike yesterday, 7 hours total, not much climbing but it was still quite a workout since it is very hot and humid:

It really does look like a different world there, especially with the city view interrupting the "wild" view.  I can almost feel that humidity, too!

Some interesting ruins out there in the wilds! I wonder what they were?

Those are cool tree photos. I always wonder when I see ruins that have been standing there long enough for trees to grow into the walls what stories and times the house has seen.

It is now too hot to hike here, we were planning some stream trekking this summer but can't do that with two young kids (bf's kids are here for 3 weeks). Pics from a boat trip:

More pics here:

And also some photos from Taiwan, amazing area near regional highway #7:

Xinxing hot spring, hot waterfall falling into a cold river, you just need to find the right spot for the waters to mix.

That was a truly amazing place, and there were no other people around, so just find the right spot with perfect water temperature and relax Smiley The trail was bait tricky near the end and crossing the river when holding onto that rope was also a bit tricky, but definitely worth it.

These places look like paradise!  The turquoise color of the water in the picture with the arch is just astonishing.

Hope you are having a good time with BF's kids, too!

Great pictures, Alek!  It is good that BF is as adventurous as you!  I'm sure that the kids will have fun exploring with you.   Smiley

I haven't posted anything here for such a long time, so here are some pics from last weekend, Sharp Peak North Ridge:

Somewhat challenging trail, you actually climb between these two big rocks:
