I have a koi fish pond and We bought a new filter for it yesterday. The only thing we do buy is always for the pets Well, the pond was so dirty, that the filter got plugged up, as it will at first. My husband looked out the window, I was on the phone with my daughter, and He said, the filter is plugged , I have to go shut it off and clean it. I don't know what happened, but the dogs must have thought He said something else, everyone started running at the very same time i stood up to look out the window. All i know is My large dog, Shiloh , must have run in front of Me and flipped Me up in the air. Because the next thing i knew i was on the floor with the phone gone and hurting like H@#$ . I'm approx. 5ft. 6in. and don't weigh more than 100lbs. right now. I hurt all over. I landed on my spine, tailbone, elbow, shoulder, and hit My head. I'm going to take a shower and see if that helps. i wonder how it will feel tomorrow? and why would He want to kill his Mama? The cats try to trip Me all the time and now this. Maybe their trying to tell me something. I just love the little darlings

Hey, Trudy, did you get knocked out? I really hope you're okay. Not a good thing, for sure.

*groan* I feel for you. I fell on the ice last winter; even though I didn't really injure anything, I ached. I hate to tell you, but it's always worse the second day. If you can take ibuprofen, you might try that. It helps.
If you blacked out at all, you should see a doctor, to make sure you don't have a concussion, since you hit your head. Any light-headedness, blurred vision, anything like that warrants a trip to the ER.
My cats have tried to do me in with similar tactics quite a few times. Usually on the stairs. I mostly catch myself on the stair rail.
Hope you will be OK.

Nope, didn't get knocked out. I think my head hit last. It really is funny, but not funny, too. But My whole tailbone, spine part- Is killing Me. i'll see how it is the morning. i'm so graceful. You know how it is when you're not a kid anymore -i hate saying that . but i fell off my horse, well i jumped off a few years ago and really did some damage-to me. If i was a kid it probably wouldn't have done anything.Well, onward and upward. And I was on the phone with My daughter because both Her DH and Her had to go to the ER this weekend. they are both alright, but this is weired. Thanks You all. I try to get a pic of my dog, shiloh, but he's really a big wimp. when He sees the camera He hides. He thinks it's meds., i guess.

oh no --- Trudy, I really hope you're fine. You may have been bruised up a bit... perhaps some iboprofen will help with the pain and inflamation... goodness... your doggie must be a big one to knock you over like that! Let us know how it goes.

Trudy- Try the ibuprofen or Aleve & hot bathes. Tail bone bruises hurt like the devil ! Oreo tripped me on the basement stairs a few years ago & I went head over heels & landed on my back on the concrete basement floor. Took a couple weeks before all the stiffness & soreness went away.

I hope you are OK, Trudy. Even if you feel good, I would suggest you take it easy a few days to make sure you are all right.

Be careful using heat for a day or 2. Heat can cause increased bleeding in the layers. Cold is for swelling, heat is for healing. You should be able to call your doctor & just ask cold or hot & when.

Trudy, I do hope you are feeling better today, as bruises do get the better of the body the next day [unfortunately]!
Maybe yesterday was that kind of day? Baby was acting kind of weird, too. His time with me outside reminded me of a "powerful" [but playful] banter between human and animal. He continuously swiped at and ran around and through my legs, almost tripping me, as I walked around the gardens to see if there were any new greeters and to take pictures!
Sending thoughts your way for your dad, his wife, your daughter and her husband - hope all will be well.
Sincerely, Donna average citizen for justice and equality

and why would He want to kill his Mama? Trudy, hope everything gets better soon, that can really hurt, spine and all. Be real careful if you get numbness anywhere, go see a doctor if you do. Don't think the dog was trying to kill you, if he was he would have come after you when you were on the floor. Sometimes they get excited, who knows why, and can get really rough. Ours do similar things, trip us, and damn near knock us down. When they get excited they lose all sense of anything around them and become very single minded about whatever they are going to do and just bull their way around. take care db

I used to think that anyone doing anything weird was weird. I suddenly realized that anyone doing anything weird wasn't weird at all and it was the people saying they were weird that were weird.

Trudy, hope you're doing ok today. That's right - at our age we just can't take those spills and thrills like we used to.
