Some neat tiny white flowers I saw during one of my runs. Full moon and trees Close up of not quite full moon This lovely mourning dove nesting in a tree right by my front door. I thought I'd never see them nesting here again after the "landscapers" butchered the tree down to a bush. Still salty about that but at least the doves are trying to make do.

Happy Spring/Summer! What a sweet shot of the dove, they will build anywhere LOL. Love the moon shots and the flowers are unusual. Great shots!

Well done, Ned.
I have never seen mourning dove chicks, but love the adult calls. They are so fluffy!

Great pictures! It’s fascinating to see how big the mourning dove chicks are compared to Momma, but still fuzzy all over.

The chicks grew really fast and left the nest a few days ago. Less than 2 weeks from hatching to leaving the nest!

Mama has laid another pair. They have already hatched but I can't get a pic without disturbing them. The little ones are so cute! I hope they survive the landscapers. Meanwhile in another nest, these birds have 5 babies. I feel kind of bad for them though with all that poop. These babies are very loud when being fed unlike the mourning doves which never make a sound. I also have never seen any poop near the mourning doves nest. They are neat and quiet. Flowers on the bush outside. The landscapers always cut them off. I don't like our landscapers.

Oh I hope those eggs can and the nestlings already there will survive the landscaper! The flowers too, they're such a nice shade of blue.

That’s a beautiful shade of blue. I hope the five babies have grown enough to leave the nest.

Good news! All babies have left their nests safely. The landscapers didn’t come this week so the babies were able to practice leaving the nest undisturbed.
