Yes, I fell for it.  UGH!  I was watching the promos on Animal Plant and it looks fascinating.  It is more like a Sims than a game.

Basically you create a world and evolve your own creatures.  My cuppa tea!

Why do cats always jump on your lap with their claws out?  Especially when you are wearing shorts?

So I loaded my game, was looking forward to playing around and creating world.  Didn't read the specs.

My video card isn't supported.  This is now the second game that I own that I can't play.  ugh!!!

Oh man.Thats a bummer. Cry

Yup!  and I know nothing about video cards.

Believe it or not, I cracked open my computer to see what kind of porty thing I had.  I have a 4 year old machine.  It has old PCI ports.  And thankfully, cards for this type of port are relatively cheap.  Soo hopefully, I would be playing Spore this weekend.

UGH!  Remind me never to buy software on the spur of the moment.

Okay, so I got everything working.  Installed the video card myself.  First time I have ever done anything like that *inside* my computer.

The game is HIGHLY addictive.  Last night I thought I would play a little before I went to bed.  Kept telling myself "It must be 12. I need to go to bed", "It must be 1.  I need  to go to bed", "It must be 3, I need to go to bed."  When I had decided it was 3 AM, I quit the game and discovered the real time.  It as 5 AM.   Shocked

Remind me never to do that again either.
