I noticed today I can see my older photos in my craft night thread. I checked some other threads like August's building a cat house and the old pics are showing now. It looks like Photobucket has (at least temporarily) released the photos taken hostage in their extortion attempt. I guess they lost a lot of users. I have found a better service so I won't be going back to them but I'm glad I can see these old pics again!

Thank you for pointing this out, Ned!  I just went back and looked at some of the old pics and it was so good to see them again!   Smiley

Cheesy  Doh!  Gahahahaaa.  Funny I didn't see any mention of it anywhere!

I guess a lot of people, myself included, won't be going back to Photobucket.... but it's nice to see the photos up again.  I'll bet a lot of people who spent time reposting photos here and there are now angry to see the originals back up again.   Tongue Cheesy

I'm glad the photos are back! I'm thinking they got so much pushback they finally relented. When they first changed their terms, I thought that although they have the right to charge for their services, I strongly felt they should have kept on letting clients have free use of the pictures uploaded under their old terms of free service. I went and tried to deactivate my account and couldn't find any way to do it. Now I'm glad I didn't succeed because the pictures are back, but I probably won't go back and upload any more. I haven't had time to check out other photo hosting services yet though.
