Very Cool!  Do you ever enter cake competitions?  I've watched a couple on Food Network.  Quite intensive and interesting.

Fizzy just thinking same thought along those lines myself. That being thinking of how many county fairs, etc. alek would take first prize in the baking area. Many would be hard pressed to compete with her creations. They never cease to be spectacular.

This thread should be called Do not view if you are trying to strengthen your Will Power instead of your Appetite.

I could easily demolish those creations at one sitting.

You should try some pet food creations next. You have three willing taste testers on hand.

Smiley

Since bf said he didn't want a cake, I just made some simple stuff. Roll with walnut and coffee sponge (patterned with tuile paste, but you can barely see the pattern, I run out of white flour and when you use wholewheat flour, tuile is much darker) filled with chestnut+Bailey's filling:

Flower is gumpaste bauhinia blakeana, national flower of Hong Kong Smiley

I had some leftovers from the roll, so here they are:

alek, those muffins are spectacular!  I never would have thought of decorating muffins, but those are quite stunning.  You are so creative.

When I first looked at the muffins I thought they had ice sculptures on top of them, especially the really tall one with the red running thru it - like an ice sculpture waterfall. What a neat idea - but your so full of creativity and never cease keep on creating.

Thank you! I just finished gumpaste flower arrangement last night, in a bit of a rush before extremely humid weather starts again:

Now I hope it will survive by weekend when I finish the cake Smiley
