Anyone doing the Great Back Yard Bird Count this weekend?

http://gbbc.birdcount.org/

Finally seeing a bunch of birds under our bird feeder now that the snow stopped and the sun came out. They don't stay long with all the wind and cold.

So far, I've seen crows, lots of grackles, lots of Juncos (snowbirds), a tufted titmouse, a female cardinal, mourning dove, blue jays.

Hope our hawks don't show up.

Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am....forever and ever and ever.

JM,
Not doing this bird count, but there were a few hardy birdie souls that showed up at my feeders today.  Unfortunately, even though we didn't have much snow, the winds were howling at a steady 25-30 mph or so with gusts to 50-60.  Poor birdies had a hard time flying in that!   Tongue

tehre are always birds about my balcony, only I don't see them!   Angry  Beau sees them, and pounces from the wrong side of the windows, but the moment I try to peek, they go away.  *sigh*

I did see a crow this morning, near the dumpster area.  And I saw 3 vultures feasting on something by the roadside this morning during my travels.
