Well, not really on the way to the forums......but I thought this would get your attention!!   Grin

I have decided when I pick Murphy up that is in my best interest, and the best interest of the other drivers here in RI, that I leave Jack and Lucy home.   Last week I took both of them to get Murphy and it was a little hard driving the 20 minute ride home with 3 pups in a love fest....cries of happiness, licking of faces and general puppy madness....lol...

so today on the way to get Murph, I was listending to a classical radio station, looking at this beautiful sunny day and how peaceful it was and then i saw a car pulled over ahead of me, in the opposite lane.  I slowed down as I thought they may need to use my phone and then I saw the reason the car was stopped....two HUGE steer were running on the yellow line right towards what my husband loves nearly the most in his life....yes... his truck....I thought as they came closer to the truck they would veer off but I was wrong.....I put up my window, ducked my head, and prayed that the love of my hubby's lfe would be spared...and I would not get hurt either   Cheesy Grin....They were so close to the driver window I could see there little rope collars....and off they went continuing on down the road....looking for freedom....or Bessie!

Well, I had to call somebody as I was afraid of kids at bus stops and also cars.....so I called 911 who connected me to the town's police dept....when I told them there were two steer in the road running in traffic...they said "two deer?"...and i said "no... two steer"...and they said "deer?" and I said "no, cows with sharp horns and not friendly cows..."Oh-ok" they said....lol...

Too bad Lucy and Jack were not with me....they would have loved to see them!

You have the strangest things happen to you!  So good they decided not to bulldoze (hah) the truck and veered off at the last minute.  I have a feeling telling that story to your DH explain the damage would result a little disbelief.  I hope they got them before someone hit them, or they injured someone in their stampede.  Funny that they didn't understand you at 911.  Carol saves the day!

LOL I am cracking up too.  But I wish to point out that if they were indeed steers, they would not be looking for Bessie.  Steers are, um, fixed.  Grin

I didn't look thaaaat close...lol....

I thought steer were cows with horns....lol..and they were mean...at least that is what my parents told me when we had two of them in our corrral out back..and then one day they were gone and we had meat in our freezer  Huh  ...but they also told me that a man lived up in the glen under the leaves (so I wouldn't go there by myself) however that did not stop me!! Grin

Carol, thank goodness you DIDN'T have Lucy and Jack with you, you'd probably never have gotten the windows up because they would have been trying to get out of them. Grin  I picked up my sister-in-law's two dogs (130lbs apiece) yesterday and they tried to go out the partially opened window because a squirrel ran across the street in front of us and up a nearby tree.  You should have heard all the whining and barking going on.  So I ended up driving around the block so they could look at all the squirrels in the neighborhood that's out gathering nuts from the pecan trees. Of course, by that time, I had the windows up Grin  They had a blast!

Carol saves the day! Steer not deer, lol.

Tesla that was so nice of you to chauffeur the pups around to have their fill of the squirrels.
