Hello All,

As you may have noticed via Itchmo's announcement, we now have 4 Global Moderators, members who are well known to this forum:  Catbird, Menusux, Arlo, and JustMe.

We are in the process of setting up some ground rules and will post them when formulated.  The bullying behaviors that went on the last week or so will not be tolerated. Period.  We want people to feel comfortable here.  We've lost several long-time members during the period of disruption by a few members.  We need to get back to what this forum originally was, a forum about cats, dogs, and other pets.

If you don't like the rules, please feel free to find another forum to participate on.

Thank you for your patience.

Since the rules aren't posted yet, I'm going to post like crazy while I still fall under the "Whaaa?  I didn't know" clause, hehehe.   Grin

Welcome new mod squad!  Thank you for volunteering.

Thanks Catbird, Menusux, Arlo, and JustMe for volunteering  Grin.

This used to be a peaceful place.

With the changes that have been made, I hope the peace returns - along with long time members who dropped out.

Excellent choices, and I'm looking forward to clear ground rules being put in place.  Good luck to all of you.  It's a tough job but I'm sure it will bring about great changes.

Thank you, Moderators.
Since the cause of safe pet food has a long ways to go, I hope the political topic of
government regulators and their actions on pet food safety, or the continued lack thereof, will be part of
the Itchmo Forums landscape still. Plus perhaps any directly pet food related letter writing campaigns
posters want to suggest or advocate regarding manufacturers, suppliers, pet food companies, retailers, or
government regulatory agencies? Just suggestions for moderators (again, thank you for stepping forward)
to clarify.

Law and politics about pets is still a board on the forum, where we can discuss these issues and plan strategies.

Such a great name for you four who will work hard to make this a peaceful, happy place - MOD SQUAD, I love it. Thx YesBiscuit, very appropriate.

Hopefully the long time members who left will now come back. Should anyone have their personal email address please write and let them know about the changes on Itchmo so maybe they might reconsider and return.

Ok, people, we have four of us here who volunteered to try to moderate because we believe in the purpose of this forum and the work that has been done here.  We wanted to try to help cool people off and get back to business.

Unfortunately, that is not how it has worked out.  A handful of members are now using the report to moderator mechanism to further their fighting among each other.

Some of the mods have gone without sleep and are having problems with their jobs from trying to respond to reports that are little more than "he said, she said."  Or the equivalent of "Mommy, he looked at me funny."

All four moderators are on the verge not only of quitting the mod job, but quitting the forum entirely.

Because of repeated interruptions to his work, since he also receives all the reports, I would not be surprised if Ben decides to delete this forum entirely.  Is that what you want?  Do you want this entire work to go away because of squabbles?  I realize that to some of you, what you are doing may be a game.  However, it was my understanding that the purpose of this forum was serious business.

I'll bet the PFI are jumping for joy.
