Klondike. Your photos are wonderful. You really have a talent for capturing the beauty of all types of flowers.I loved the peony. They have been a favorite flower since I was a child. I really like the rich color of yours. And that is a great pic of the red spikes.

My favorites in these lovely photos are the poppies.  I adore poppies, but do not have enough sun to grow them.

Klondike, what beauty you find on your walks!  Poco surely gets a treat with all that he sees while you get some exercise.  I had never seen even a wallflower in photos until you posted yours.  They should grow here.  I'll have to keep my eyes open.

Here's a rose of summer I went by yesterday:

And here's something around the block from us, nice little cactus garden in the parkway:

I called it Pretty Prickley.  Needed a change of pace from my roses!

The second one isn't as good, but it shows the bug in it.
I can't remember the name of these flowers-Glads

These flower photos truly say "Summer's here!"

Another of my favorite signs of summer here happened last night--I saw the first fireflies!  (I know you in the South have had them for months.) They are  a special part of summer for me.)

I really like the lightning bugs too. We have had them here for quite some time but I don't think there are as many as usual this year.

Really pretty photos!  Summer has been here in Houston since the middle of May with temps in the 90's....a little to hot for this So. Calif. transplant...but I'm sure I'll get use to it some year.  Does anyone know a good fertilizer for Hibiscus?  Mine are in need of a little pick me up and I can't figure out what to use.
