I think all "natural" product should be required to have disclaimers in their ads and their packaging. Just like prescription drugs. I just saw the Hunt's Tomato ad where they say their tomatoes are "100% natural". Well, yes, tomatoes are "100% natural" unless they're fake, doesn't mean it's not GM or dipped in pesticide and I think the freakin' ads should say that. I'm sick of the misleading BS. Same goes for are those "health foods" pushed by the multi-nationals etc. The Corn Association is running ads about the goodness of corn "co-products". They should have disclaimers also. Now that they (the big multi-nationals that won't implement COOL) have decided to put a "healthy" labeling system on their packaging, I think they should have to put disclaimers also.

How about: "There is no nutrition left in the *** by-product, ingredients could be GMO and/or dipped in pesticide and be imported from countries with zero safety standards like China. While this could be a nutritious/healthy product, it could also (and more likely will)cause stomach upset, block your kidneys, arteries and other organs, cause obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure/cholesterol and even death."

It should run at the end of every commercial. A separate one should be developed for toys and other products tainted with lead.

I'm tired of the lies. I'm tired of the misleading info. Lets go back to real food. Do we really need 600 sugar flavored cereals? 50 kinds of corn waste nutritional waters? Umpteen kinds of salmonella pot pie? All with claims of good nutrition but containing a slow death?

straybaby could not agree more. And the cereals - so many and most are made by only a handful of companies so why are there zillions of choices on the shelves? Your right on when they should put at the end of every commercial - eating this does not guarantee nutrition in any form but more likely the ultimate slow death from eating it IMO.

The more they lie, the more will die. Cause we all know how misleading labels are.....

I have come to believe since the China baby milk scandal that a black box warning, like those
used by the FDA on drugs, should be required on all food and food products imported into the United States:
"Caution, contains imported ingredient(s). Not inspected by U.S. food authorities. Eat at your own risk."
