A man has found a piece of metal in a jar of baby food he was about to feed his daugher.

I know that many people are using baby food as an alternative to pet food.  Check it carefully before you use it for children or pets!

Thank you, catbird! I frequently use baby peas and baby meat in my home-cooked.  I will be very careful.

Catbird thank you for the heads up.  I give my CRF cats babyfood when I have difficulty getting them to eat.

If you read the article, something very interesting, the first thing they do is tell you to send them the jar. Sure and then your evidence is gone, and they send you another jar of food.

Better to keep it, contact the news media, and an attorney, ask their advice. Have them run a story and they can take the evidence. Chain of evidence is very important.

It is getting to the point that everything we open now has to be inspected.

I used to think that anyone doing anything weird was weird. I suddenly realized that anyone doing anything weird wasn't weird at all and it was the people saying they were weird that were weird.

Yeah, db,  I thought the same thing when I first read the article.  The baby food company wants to confiscate the evidence--so "it never happened."  (Just like we were all told to return the recalled pet food to where we bought it, which I didn't--to me the possible future evidence was worth more than the refund.)  I give the guy lots of credit for photographing the jar and contacting the media, and hope he's in touch with his attorney as well.  It doesn't say if he actually sent back the jar.  I wonder what will happen with our friends the FDA, and I hope this station keeps following the story.
