Oh no ! Hope Diesel heals quickly and the move goes calmly. I have tried the Earths Best pet wipes with success. Made in the US & organic.

Oh my gosh. That poor little girl. I guess just like people and cats with diabetes, not being able to feel your limbs (neuropathy) very well can predispose you to injury and you might not know anything happened. I hope she heals quickly and completely.

Poor Diesel! Sending hopes for fast, easy recovery. And sending more hopes for as little stress as possible in your move!

Couldn't find earths best pet wipes but did see Earth Friendly - are they the same thing? The Earth Friendly ones contain alcohol so maybe these not the same?

Oh no, poor Diesel. What a terrible thing to happen just when she seemed to be turning another corner. My vet gave me some surgical swab to bathe around Colette's rear to help fight the recurrent U.T.I.s. I gave up on baby wipes or any commercial wipes - too expensive for the amount I use. Instead I bought "no frills" J cloth type disposable cloths ( the blue and white things with little holes in). I cut them into small wipe-size squares and make up a dilute solution of the swab and wet them all then keep them in an old Huggies baby-wipes container. When I use one I put a little more of the swab solution on it then wipe her dry with a square of kitchen paper then finish with an old face washer or towel. It works out much cheaper and I know she's clean. She also cleans herself a little when she's in the mood Hope this idea helps. I hope your move went OK and you are settling in well. Let's pray Diesel's paw heals well with no infections or anything - what a worry for you.

Hope Diesel is doing better today.
Surgical swab solution - now that is an idea. Will give it a try. Poor Quoi is being medicated for yet another UTI but after a couple of days on antibiotics she is doing better again - has just come out from under the coffee table and peed on a puppy pee pad before heading off to areas unknown (think she is under the high bookcase now). Heres the info for the earthbath wipes [not best] www.earthbath.com & info@earthbath.com . They aren't cheap though, so TCM's idea might work better. I use them when Rem runs under Trooper or Frag while they are peeing & for 2 friends cats with arthritis who can't groom well. Not for kittens or puppies under 6 weeks. It does contain Polysorbate 20 [ a natural derivitive of sorbitol, not the same thing as sorbitol though].No alchohol or lanolin & handy for travel in small pkgs.

Have a new product for puppies - Travel Wipes which states can be used to clean dirty paws, messy bottoms, etc. Maybe this would be milder on a lil kitties bottom on numerous times a day?

Hi everyone - thanks for all the tips. TCM - great idea there! Will investigate all that's been recommended but I did manage to give her a little bath over weekend with her bandage in a plastic bag and her leg being held out of the way! Her paw is healing well but she does not really want to walk on it. Unfortuntely her other back poor is now knuckling again . The vet was over this morning and is at a loss as to why Diesel is deteriorating again in this way but apparently this has happened to quite a few of the Orijen affected cats; they progress so well then decline so suddently. Prognosis is not good. Jo - sorry to hear about Quoi but hopefully well on the mend now?? Thoughts with you.
