Bittersweet I know , but she will be home with you where she belongs . I hope knowing she is not forgotten here helps you on your journey to being at peace with her loss .

I am just reading this sad news.  Godspeed Collette.  You deserve a rest.

I can only imagine the emptiness you feel.  Many of us have cared for older cats with chronic conditions, but nothing like the level of care needed for Collette and the other cat victims.

I'm very grateful you came here and told us the truth about this company, and how you were all treated.

Collette will not be forgotten here.

Thank you so much lesliek and spartycats. It does indeed help telling people and hearing their words of support. It is keeping me going. I am burning a candle in an aromatherapy burner with rose geranium and sweet orange next to her urn and the beautiful pale pink roses her vets sent me. I have washed all her bedding and towels but cannot bring myself to completely empty and dismantle her cage in the kitchen yet, the water pot is still in there as it was. Bit by bit by bit.... I appreciate all the words of comfort and support and the understanding everyone has shown on here since the beginning and right up to the end. Thank you.

So sorry to read this, it does sound like she went in her own way.  You both fought a long hard fight such a shame the pet food companies don't care.  Please take care of yourself TCM. Hugs to you.

Oh no! Im so sorry to read this, TCM.  Your girl was a fighter, bless her heart.  Its hard to not get mad at Orijen all over again, so many kitties they hurt, so many people they hurt, I dont know how you did it.  I too, am grateful you came here and told us all what happened.  I will always remember you and Collette.  My heart goes out to you.  {{{{hugs}}}}

Thank you again, everyone. I managed to move her cage from the top of the little table in the kitchen to underneath it and put my artwork materials in its place. Hopefully her spirit will be inspiration as I can still feel her there, she spent so much time sleeping in there in the last couple of years. This is as far as I've got though. I still haven't had a big cry and can't seem to, it's all inside. Oh well. Your support has been magnificent, everyone, thank you so much.

Well after all these years we are still struggling with 2 of our Orijen affected cats. Evie and Uly are still with us though never got any better than the last time I posted all those years ago. Still after all we have been through it amazes me that they are still with us. We lost Aub - he suddenly dropped a huge amount of weight and bleed out. Our poor vet continues to support us. Just gotta love Orijen it is a gift that just keeps giving. I would just like to again thank this forum for all the help and support you gave. Amazes me that it appears nothing has improved with pet food companies reporting/recalling and taking responsibility for the deaths and misery they cause.

It's so good to hear from you!  I'm sorry you lost Aub.  Cry  What happened is such a tragedy, it should never happen again.

I am so sorry you lost Aub.

Has anyone actually figured out what exactly happened? I know it was attributed to irradiation, but no details on the link between that and what actually happened with affected cats.

I'm so sorry you lost Aug, raggiesrule. Cry  And also that Evie and Uly have never recovered. Cry It's really terrible that industries never undergo repercussions from their actions.
