Recalling Firm: Fargam Land & Grain, Saginaw, TX, by telephone on May 21, 2009.
Manufacturer: Mars Petcare US, Clinton, OK. Firm initiated recall is ongoing.

REASON
Bulk ground corn used as feed for ruminant animals may have been contaminated with prohibited material.

VOLUME OF PRODUCT IN COMMERCE
429,128 lbs.

DISTRIBUTION
TX, LA

This admits to being an ongoing recall and that the ground corn was for feed.  Who's Fargam?

It sure seems to be that both came into contact with "prohibited material", and the only thing I see FDA defines as that would be bovine materials re: the possibility of BSE.  Angry

It also happened in about the same time frame as the barley.

I used to love York peppermint patties [another Mars staple] but the few times I bought 1 lately it tastes like wax ! Angry No Mars/master Foods here at all. 1 too many problems with their food for me.

I know what you mean. I used to LOVE York Peppermint Patties, but they do taste & feel waxy now. I threw the last box I bought out.
