Does anyone know if this affects Canada as well? I can't find it anywhere. I know it says Canada on the first notice here but it seems odd that I can't find one instance if it other than that here.

FWIW, The Price Chopper link is not working anymore--you get "File Not Found" when you click it. My thought would be that if this is an actual recall, Canada would be affected as the same plants would probably be producing food for Canada also.

Above is the link to Price Chopper's listing of current recalls--the IAMS information is no longer listed here as it was yesterday.

The e-food alert link is still working with the information on it.

The Yesbiscuit site grabbed the Price Chopper recall notice before it was taken down.

Since IAMS is owned by P&G, I wonder if any of the other P&G brands are affected?

What if you were a pet owner and had purchased one of these 'only a few' bags, do they feel that since it was such a 'small number' it is OK if your pet gets sick???  Angry   Roll Eyes   Huh

I agree, just how stupid do these pet food business managers think we pet owners are???  Angry   Roll Eyes   Huh

According to Iams, it's not a recall because supposedly none of the food went to consumers.  Let's just compare for a minute.  If you robbed a bank, then changed your mind and put the money back, do you think you won't be charged with the crime?  Angry

In my mind, where there's smoke, there's fire.  How do they know this doesn't affect other lots as well?  I've heard plenty of rumors out here in cyberspace about pets sickened, whose owners attribute it to Iams food, recently, before the Price Chopper notice came out.

Price Chopper did the right thing when they first put it up.  I wish P & G would do the same.

People need to do the same thing with Iams as was done with Menu--take their hands out of your wallet or purse.

It makes me sick that Iams is still behaving this way after all we have been through. You'd think they might have learned something by now - if you're having a problem, own up to it, let the public know and then take steps to resolve the problem. That's how you build trust!

Same old sh*t, different year.
