This is from Truth About Petfood site.

http://www.truthaboutpetfood.com/articles/diamond-pet-food-suspends-delivery-of-all-brands-made-in-sc.html

Diamond Pet Food Suspends Delivery of All Brands made in SC

What other brands does Diamond make in South Carolina? I thought they made some Wellness kibble there, too, but I may be mistaken.

Foods made by Diamond Pet Food (though not confirmed to be made at the South Carolina Plant)
Solid Gold
Canidae/Felidae
Natural Balance
Kirkland (Costco Brand)
Chicken Soup
Taste of the Wild

From the Petfoodlist:

Solid Gold Health Food for Pets (verified by company 4/17/07)

Dry food made by Diamond, in Meta, Mo and Lathrop, CA

The others don't specify which plant.

ETA: Just posted question on their FB page and will get back here with the answer if they provide one. Will also ask the other companies the same question.

OK, some good news for Solid Gold users: This is response from Solid Gold on Facebook:

Many have asked about the current Diamond recall and the article on truthaboutpetfood.com. This new facebook timeline is giving me fits so instead of responding to each one of you, I will post the answer to the question here. Hopefully everyone can see it. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Diamond Pet Foods manufactures four Solid Gold® dry dog foods: WolfKing, WolfCub, Just a Wee Bit, and Hund-n-Flocken. The remainder of our dry dog foods and both dry cat foods are made at Crosswinds Pet Foods in Kansas.
All WolfKing, WolfCub, Just a Wee Bit, and Hund-n-Flocken sold in the United States are made in the Diamond Pet Foods plant in Meta, Missouri.
The Diamond Pet Food plant in Gaston, South Carolina makes a very small amount of WolfKing, WolfCub, and Just a Wee Bit for export purposes. There are no safety concerns with these Solid Gold® foods made in Gaston and they are not part of the limited voluntary recall of Diamond Pet Foods.

Now, we'll see if TOTW answers.

Brands manufactured at the Gaston facility include:

    Diamond
    Taste of the Wild
    Premium Edge
    Professional
Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul
    Country Value

Last year, WDJ said Solid Gold was manufactured in Lathrop, CA and Meta, MO.

JustMe  - Also from WDJ, Diamond did some Wellpet in Gaston - don't know which brands, or if that's current info.

OMG I just saw this Angry.  The only thing Zoe eats is TOTW dry food. Mia eats some too and I just picked up another bag on Saturday.  I don't have lot numbers with me but I think the expiration date is January. I believe it's the same as the date on my last bag which I have been using for about a month.

How long does it take for sx to show up? She has not been eating very much for a few days but the weather here was very warm (in the 80-90's) so I thought it was that.  Should I be concerned? She has had some soft stool but I didn't notice any blood.  Last night she ate a little wet food which she almost never does, that's good right?

I read the original recall info but didn't realize TOTW was made by the same company.  I can't bear the thought of anything happening to my girls.

Salmonella-contaminated pet food is more of a risk to you than it is to the cats, actually.  However, cats with reduced immune system function, such as elderly cats, those on chemotherapy, those with FIV or feline leukemia, kittens, pregnant cats, cats under stress, or cats with existing intestinal disorders or chronic health conditions can become ill from salmonella.

I'd just watch Zoe closely for awhile for loose stools.  I think she and Mia are pretty low risk for getting sick with it, but it's wise to keep an eye on them.

Ranger, this is the official statement from TOTW on their Facebook page:

"Official statement from Taste of the Wild Manufacturer: Diamond Pet Foods has temporarily suspended delivery of all dry dog food products made at its Gaston, S.C., plant, including Taste of the Wild. The company took this step because a limited number of batches of its Diamond Natural Lamb Meal & Rice dry dog food also produced at the plant did not meet its stringent quality standards. Immediately upon discovering the potential quality issue, the company initiated a voluntary recall of these batches of Diamond Natural Lamb Meal & Rice dry dog food, as announced on April 6.

Taste of the Wild formulas are not subject to the April 6 recall and thus can be consumed as usual.

Diamond Pet Foods is working around the clock to resume product deliveries to distributors and retailers. However, the company is committed to ensuring that the Gaston plant meets the highest possible standards of quality and will only resume full production when this can be assured.

For more information, email us through our website at http://tasteofthewildpetfood.com/contact_us/. We will communicate via Facebook as updates are available."

Humm I hope that is true Bug, thanks for posting that.  My girls are 15 & 16 and Mia of course is hyper t.  I think most would consider them elderly as probably they would me but I'm not giving my age.

I didn't realize Zoe and Mia were that age, ranger, I thought they were like 5 years younger.
