So after thinking about this for a few days---I could use some help!

I would like to have all the "declarations" that are in print from the pet food companies (that Expertox's testing has found acetaminophen) that they gurantee no apap is in their food.   All I seem to find is that the testing is "invalid" or the companies' testing does not show it --but where in print has anyone come out with the press release saying absolutely no acetaminophen in product?  Anybody remember any of these??  Please post if you find them!   Thanks Smiley

Carol,

Just thinking back over the past few months, my impression is (and I could be wrong) that the denials (of acetaminophen and other toxins) seem to come from various trade groups, professional organizations, commissions, and individuals who support the pet food industry.

Also, after Donna's food tested positive, I called some of the pet food companies.  Either they wouldn't reveal whether or not they were testing for acetaminophen (Hill's, Purina), or they said they weren't testing because "we can't test for everything" (Natural Balance, Canidae) or "we don't test for that because it's not supposed to be there" (Natura).

Their pitiful response was what motivated me to begin making my own food.
