This admission is, as we all know, over a year old.  For some reason, it's been brought up as a current Google hit.  It is not happening all over again.

Thanks to a "birdie" for pointing this out.

I jumped on that google search too when it popped up. Then I saw the date.

Is anyone purchasing canned cat food noticing supply shortages lately, or particular
brands becoming hard to get? Just a feeling I'm getting ... nothing solid.

NV rabbit canned and NV venison canned have been out of stock in stores here for some time.  And we know the rabbit comes from China.  I have to shop for cat food tomorrow, so will check.  I don't use Felidae, but notice it has been MIA for months at one store.

My main problem is that I can get the foods, but some of my cats have started to reject them, especially Wellness, which we know has had a formula change. Huh

Boy, I've noticed it in two of the brands you mentioned, NV and Wellness, in a city
of about 2 million.

Because some old recalls from 2007, as described above, are being picked up by Google as more recent links, they are showing up in current news stories as current facts.  Here's one published today:

http://www.newsinferno.com/archives/4222

Lists Chenago Valley recall of Costco Kirkland dog food.

Just so everyone knows, these are not new/current recalls.  They are from last year.

A little birdie tells me that Binzhou Futian isn't around anymore--that name they did business under was shut down in 2007; I believe they have shut down their many other alias companies now too.

Thanks, catbird.  I had already posted on another thread that I thought the story was outdated, or at the very least, a rewrite of old news with mention of some current news referring to the melamine in the milk situation.  Strange!   Huh  We need to be careful about these old links popping up on our research.
