Does anyone know about which dog food companies don't use BPA's in the foods that they can?Huh??   I must be really out of it to think that companies weren't using it in our pets food!  I have called a few places, Wellness, who told me this is proprietary info. but on the truth about pet foods site, it is listed as one of the co.'s that does, By Nature says that they don't, and Azmira says they do not,  but Evo does.  For now I have put all of my canned dog food in a closet, I actually don't trust any of it, but it is pretty expensive, so I will wait a few days and probably throw it away.

Debi, The only way to find out is by doing what you have already done and that is call the companies and ask. Or go by what is posted on truthaboutpetfoods.com.  You could also try Googling BPA's in pet food and see what comes up.      Edited to add:  I did a search on the forums and found this thread. http://itchmoforums.com/your-problems-with-pet-food/email-wellness-about-cansbpa-t5180.0.html  There are more discussions on BPA's. Just type it in the search engine to find them.

Thanks Laurie, I will do that, but also, in the meantime, not trusting even the companies that say they don't use it in the cans, I will just use the Canz products from N.Z. and the Pawnaturaw, and just cut out the cans.

Debi with your concerns on companies not being completly honest and you have recently purchased the canned food and have the receipts could you just not take it back since I know how expensive organic canned dog food is as that is what I have been using along with the dry. Just tried another holistic brand and my dog did not like it so what I had left I took right back. Hopefully more companies will be honest and not say its proprietary information when the lining of a can is not a secret that needs to remain hidden from all the pet parents out there.
