Our services are limited to the following counties in southwest Missouri: Greene, Christian, Webster, Dallas, Polk, and Lawrence.

If you qualify, a certificate will be sent to you for redemption at one of our veterinary clinics once payment is received. You call the veterinarian to schedule an appointment, and redeem your certificate at the time of surgery. It's that simple!

Please note that our service is intended for pet owners who cannot afford to pay the standard rate for spay/neuter surgery. If you can afford to alter your pet without our help, please allow us to use our donated funds for those who truly cannot.

Medical care is a critical part of responsible pet ownership. The APA clinic provides routine well care for cats and dogs at competitive prices.

http://www.apamo.org/AbouttheClinic_39827.aspx

The clinic is limited to routine outpatient care for cats and dogs only, including vaccinations, heartworm medication, flea treatment and minor illnesses. We do provide required rabies vaccinations and tags for residents of both St. Louis City and St. Louis County. We do not provide services such as X-rays, lab work and emergency care.

No appointment is necessary; all clients are seen on a “first come, first served” basis. You may call us if you have questions on our services or to check on prices for routine care and medications. We look forward to serving you.

HOURS: Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m
Saturday – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
*The clinic is closed each day from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch.

Nooterville is a service that allows you to spay or neuter your dog or cat for a low cost or free!

Call us at 314.776.SPAY to discuss your eligibility.  If you are eligible, we will provide you with a surgery voucher. After that, you call one of our clinics to arrange an appointment. Surgeries are done on weekdays.

NOOTERVILLE has two spay/neuter programs.  The NOOT program is for pets of City of
St. Louis residents who are low income, using government assistance, or fixed-income seniors.

The BIG DOG program is for dogs over 39 pounds at the time of surgery and is available for all residents of the Bi-State area.   Call 776-SPAY and leave your phone number. A volunteer will call to discuss financial eligibility.

Pet Care Assistance Program

Since 1955, the Humane Society of Missouri has provided the public with veterinary care for animals. We have approximately 24 veterinarians and veterinary technicians that can provide the best care for your animals. The Pet Care Assistance Program helps to provide veterinary care for low-income pet owners.

Operation SNIP

Operation SNIP, our low-cost spay/neuter program is offered at our Veterinary Medical Centers in St. Louis City and Westport Area Center in Maryland Heights to area pet owners regardless of income. The program, which charges only $39.95 per surgery, is designed to help curb pet overpopulation and keep pets healthy. As a direct result of the Humane Society's emphasis on responsible pet ownership and spaying or neutering of all pets, 26% fewer animals have been brought to our shelters in the past five years.

For more information on these programs, contact the humane society.
