This is a real piece of news........had to share.

I don't go to Trader Joes anymore because everything there is made in China.  I was so disappointed the last time I was there reading labels & finding everything is MIC that I decided not to go again.  Every single one of their dog treats is MIC with the exception of Charlee Bears & Buddy Biscuits.

I called a friend who goes to TJs a lot & asked her to pick up some dog treats for me (only those mentioned above).  Met her for lunch today......she told me that they are having a huge 50% off sale.  They are dumping everything MIC & will no longer carry anything made there.  Now I don't know if this is everywhere or just locally (San Diego) but it made me cheer out loud.  Then she pulled the pkg of Charlee Bears out of the paper sack to show me the new label......."made with all USA ingredients" in big letters.  I already knew that but apparently they want to make sure everyone else does.  I cracked up.

You know what?  Our campaign has not fallen on deaf ears.  We stopped buying if it's MIC & stores are taking notice.  Either their business is off or they got too many complaints.......I will now go back to TJs.

Too bad China-Mart doesn't listen.

Three cheers for Trader Joes....... Grin Grin Grin

i think it's just on TJ's brands and whole ingredients and think it was supposed to start on the first. they announced it a couple of months ago.

yeah, seeing the flag or made in usa etc on packages seems to be the new trend! lol!~ apparently europeans want to trade with us more and i know that i don't have a problem with their stuff if i can't find what i want from us. gee, ya think safety standards matter to the average consumer?!   Cheesy

I'll go back & look to see how much has changed.  I know I got really disgusted when I saw all their treats were MIC.  Then other people have commented that a lot of stuff in TJs is MIC so that was it for me.

My friend said they were even selling their hot/cold bags that are normally $6 for $2 because they are MIC.

I'll check it out when I get a chance & report back.  I sure hope they dump everything MIC.  It would make my day....... Tongue
