Hi...

Have enjoyed reading ITCHMO with a friend as we dealt with the food recall. I am on my own with a very mature TONK and a 3 months old Siamese kitten... Yes, it has been a real eye opener. Learn something new each day. Its surprising how my healthy TONK has had several health issues while I dealt with the fleas, worms, weeping eyes, etc. of the kitten.

Look forward to sharing experiences and ideas with other ITCHMO members...

Welcome del! Glad you like this place as you can see a lot of us do also. There is a lot of information to help people and hopefully it will continue to do so. Again welcome and enjoy the forum.

Welcome Del!  Hope you post pics of your fur babies soon!

I am turning over the health and well being of Number 1 cat and Number 2 cat to their Daddy, del_2007 as I will be gone for a while. I was told by same to make sure I noted I am  not going to the slammer, as that is what that phrase generally means... since kitties are in better shape, I now go back to my work... was supposed to leave 9/1, then 9/15 ach! they stymied me by getting sicker...

Items outstanding:
tooth care for 12 y/o
gum care for 12 y/o
how to brush a cat's teeth (I did the enema part)
how to make the 12 y/o love the little kitty (no more battle of krugers)

bye for now...

Now, Anna, do you really expect us to believe that one?    Grin

Thank you all for the great WELCOME... and I will post a picture of my kids very soon.

I have never been very successful at brushing Mackie's teeth, so basically gave in and did nothing, however after this latest VET session I am going to try again because his gums are inflamed. Do any of you brush your pets teeth and do you have any advice?

I can tell Mackie is feeling better because this morning they were both in the living room laying on the scratch pad (its a first). they split as soon as they saw me and then. NO FRATERNIZING.

My dogs hate it when I brush their teeth so what I do is put some of the yummy toothpaste (chicken flavored) on the brush and they enjoy biting on it.  I try to move it around their mouths as much as they will allow me to.  It may not be the best brushing job but it's better than nothing.
