Briefly, there is a situation in my neighborhood that involves two pit puppies - a female about 6 months old and a male about 3 months old. The people who own them are renters and have not been good neighbors. I have contacted animal control because the pups are left out for hours and hours at a time - like from 8 am until 11 at night. Today the male kept getting out of the yard - no one home - so I kept putting him back. There was no food, no water, no shelter for them. The last time I put him in, the female attacked him. I managed to get him out and home and contacted animal control. When I explained the situation they asked me to bring him in and they would talk with the owner on Monday. He was wonderful in the car - slept and snuggled the entire time.

When I got home, the female was not in the yard. I figured the people had come back and taken her. Just a little while ago, the owner of the house was there and the renters are being evicted. He found the female in the garage, no water or food. So we got her a blanket, food, water and the owner will contact animal control first thing Monday morning. She's a nice dog, wonderful with people and I think just didn't want to share the little bit of attention she was getting with the male.

Anyway, I pray that the female stays safe in the garage until animal control can get her. (I will be getting her fresh food and water and some out time - with the property owner's permission) And then I pray that these puppies will somehow find wonderful forever homes.

So . . . if you could spare some of those wonderful prayers on behalf of these pups who just had the misfortune to end up with bad people, I would very much appreciate it.

Certainly, my prayers will be with these puppies.  I don't know how people can leave babies of any kind alone like that.  I fret every moment that I"m away from my kitties longer than I need to be.

Poor little things. I am sending a prayer that they will be adopted into good homes where they will be loved and cherished.

Thanks - right now we need the owners to not come and take the female before Animal Control can get her on Monday. That's my biggest worry at this point in time.

Poor pups!  But I am very, very glad that you intervened and they have a chance at a better life.  Is there any reason that Animal Control can't take the female now?  Around here, they are available on the weekends.  I'd say if the owners haven't come back for her within 24 hours, she's abandoned and could go right in to a safe place.  Or since she was left with no food and water by the owners, she could be confiscated as neglected?

I hope all will turn out well for these two.

Adding my prayers that these two puppies are able to be kept from these owners and are able to find loving homes where they won't be neglected and left alone.

I just got back from feeding the female this morning. She is confused and anxious about being shut in a garage, but still there. Animal Control doesn't work on Sunday - it's a budget thing, I'm sure. So . . . hopefully she can hang on one more day. There's no doubt in my mind that neglect is a real possibility. I just hope that the owners don't come back for her today. The owner of the property said she wasn't even supposed to have animals so I'm sure that's a big reason for "hiding" her in the garage.

I just pray there's a good outcome for these pups.

Thanks for your support.

I join in sending loving thoughts to these pups for a chance at a forever home. So many
pets are paying for the economic downturn that it's heartbreaking.

I hope they don't try to take her before ACO gets there !  Thank goodness the 1 got out & you found him ! At least now they have a chance for a loving forever home. Many prayers & positive thoughts for them.

Poor puppies.  Did animal control make it by?  Prayers for a happy ending.

Happy beginning for the little boy. He should be made available for adoption since the person whose yard he escaped from claimed she never owned a black and white pup.

The older pup, though, is still over there. It's been a nightmare! AC won't take her because she is in fair condition (if I hadn't provided food and water and let her become dehydrated or sick they could take her). The person was told to provide shelter (a dog house - still not there and we've had rainy nights) and to keep an aggressive adult dog away from her (boyfriend of the person brought over an extremely aggressive adult who was fighting with the pup).

I am not providing any food or water right now, but do spend some time loving her through the fence (when the people aren't around). I have also offered to buy her so we'll see if that works.
She is the sweetest dog and simply wants someone to love her and give her some attention.

So, continued prayers would be appreciated.
Thanks so much,
