Okay, it's cute and funny.  I know it's warm for them.  HOWEVER, I can't get much done!  What does everyone do about this?  I got up for just a few minutes and came back to a half-deleted page.  Another time I got a paragraph of g's.  I've been closing it every time I leave, but won't this wear the thing out?  Before, I'd just push the keyboard drawer in when I saw them coming.  Your suggestions are appreciated!

Never tried it myself, but some people say it works.

i never had a problem with the opening and closing too much on my mac laptops. i only used laptops until this past year with multiple cats.

one word of caution. it's very embarrassing to go to the repair place with half your keys missing . . . . .  Shocked

Wish they made that software for Macs!

My cats add extra things to what I am writing, once added 13 blank pages to the middle of a document, have re-named the hard drive, and tried to delete files.  One can even shift and type caps.

straybaby--just wait til a cat barfs on your keyboard.  Has happened to me.

i have to give my cats props for not pukin' on the 'puter!

rocker was a little stinker. he could pop your keys out in the blink of an eye. at the time i didn't know they made the soft key covers for laptops, but now i can't live without them. especially with the added dog drool!  Grin

Seems to me that I read once that they made a hard cover for the keyboard of a desktop computer, but don't know if that is still true or whether something like that would be available for a laptop.  Would be a good idea, though!  I did find this link for soft covers to keep your keyboard clean if that would be of help to some here.
