And this instruction to keep him calm and quiet - yeah that's not working. He is running and playing with Smoggy and not being calm at all. I tried putting him in his kennel and he got very upset and was desperately trying to claw his way out. This is more stressful than I had anticipated.

Try not to feel bad about this! About 90% of the time when we get Gypsy home after anesthesia she is bouncing off the walls. (She should be nice and quiet, they say. Yeah. Nope.) I think it’s just how some of them react to the drugs. Sounds like he’s recovering well.

GKit, he is definitely one of those hyperactive on drugs kitties! I just left him to his own devices and hoped for the best.

His incisions looked pretty irritated yesterday. I told the vet about it but I didn't think it was quite bad enough to bring him in. They look better today so I think using the Yesterday's News was a good idea. I'll keep using that for the next few days until the wounds are healed. He is eating, pooping and peeing normally, and is his usual hyper annoying self - running, climbing, knocking things over and generally carrying on crazy like the kitten he is! I look forward to him settling down for a nap so we all can have a few moments of peace and quiet.

I've had to separate the kitties at night so he can use his own litter box and they use theirs. Stormy and Smoggy are upset about this as they both are used to sleeping with me and don't like being locked out of my bedroom. Hopefully they won't be too upset as it's only for a couple more days. Smoggy is especially upset as he is a sensitive cat. He has made his displeasure known by giving me a hard gnaw-bite a couple of times. I hope he'll forgive me when things settle down!

Haboob a very powerful dust storm!  That is so cute!  I was wondering about the "theme."  That's such a great choice for name!  And the photo is so adorable - I love how you can see his eyes looking up trying to see what next mischief he can get into.   Cheesy

LOL that of all the things he had to go and do, he got his open incisions comfy on the litter.   Tongue Cheesy

I'm wondering about the separating the kitties thing - maybe it's a thing of the past by the time you read this, but if it's not, I kind of wonder if, if there is another room where you could keep Haboob with his own litter box during the night, and let Stormy and Smoggy continue to use your bedroom?  It might not work to everyone's favor to give any false implication to any of the cats that the hierarchy is changing.   Huh

Tonight I've decided to let everyone have free run of the house and all litter boxes will have Yesterday's News. That way they can all sleep in my bedroom. We'll see how that goes.  Roll Eyes
