I know this might be the wrong place to post this, but I'm so sad and devastated.  Our local no-kill shelter had a fire over the weekend and 72 animals were  lost.  I can't stop crying for these babies.  It was an accident and not started by malicious intent.

RIP Sweet Babies, may you find your forever homes at the rainbow bridge. Cry Cry Cry Cry

Oh Tesla -- what truly horrible news.  I always worry because shelters and many vet hospitals don't have anyone on duty at night.  It leave the animals so vulnerable if anything happens.  It certainly has happened more than once.  The poor babies.  I hope they've gone to a safe and beautiful place. Oh thats horrible ! I hope they are happier now & free again at the rainbow bridge. It does worry me too that so many clinics & shelters have no attendant at night.

I'm so sorry, tesla.   Cry Cry

There was a fire at one of our local shelters last year.  Fortunately, all the cats and dogs were okay as it started while volunteers were on grounds and all were quickly saved.  I think it was an electrical problem in an old building.  Shelter was a total loss though, and they have not raised enough funding to rebuild yet.  So, all the animals they would have taken in have no place to go now.

Tesla,

That's heartbreaking, but thanks for letting us know.

An attendent, sprinkler system (yeah, expensive), or maybe a monitor of some type.

RIP dear ones.

It breaks my heart to hear of such a tragedy.

Run free and whole once again, sweet angels, at the Rainbow Bridge.

Oh dear Lord Tesla!! How utterly devastating!  And it was a no kill shelter too!!  I know all about "the plan", but I just cannot see why something like this would be allowed to happen in any Plan.  When you think of all the abominable conditions some poor cats live in, why should something like this happen to a no kill shelter of all places.  A place dedicated to giving poor innocent creatures a second chance.   Just makes you look upward and ask why, why, why!!!

I can only pray that the little animals did not suffer, and that the lord took their spirits quickly before they suffered any pain, and that they are now indeed in a far, far better place, where no one can ever hurt them again.

My heart goes out to the wonderful people who cared for and loved those poor little animals. Bless them and may the Lord help ease their pain.

Tesla, I read about this on the website of your local big city paper this morning.  My heart just stopped.
How sad and devastating.  May those poor babies rest in peace. And may all the people who gave so much
in the care of these animals find peace for their broken hearts.
