hi everyone...

i am wondering if this Itchmo.com is a Canadian site or if not, what country is it from?  the reason i am asking is i am looking for a safe cat food and i noticed that a lot of the names, i am not familiar with and i don't want to chase after something that is from another country. i plan on switching to raw as soon as i can talk the stubborn little girl into it, but in the meantime i have read on here some scares about FF that i am now feeding her.....

also, sometimes in the posts and pm's i see a bar running across the bottom of a post with a little blue button on it and some arrows at the end.  what does that mean? can anyone enlighten me on that?  thanks very much...

Itchmo is based out of Seattle, WA. We cover mostly US but Canadian news as they appear.

ok great, thanks....

i am in Ontario but am still getting lots of information and comfort from this forum.  just was curious when i read so many names of foods that were not familiar with me.  i also heard that this recall came out in USA before Canada....i don't know if that was just hearsay.....anyway, we are all in this together and it is nice to pull together and support each other...

Amy Global & Ryan's Pet Foods carry a number of cat foods that are higher end. Most of these are American brands.

They also have Orijen, which is made in Alberta, and is grain-free and human-grade. There is a separate thread on this initiated by DaveyD in the Recalls section. I started my dogs on this awhile back, and the cats have also taken to it. It is a kibble, not a wet food, although you can mix it with water to soften it.

DaveyD's thread is informative, and you can also check out http://www.championpetfoods.com/orijen/about/
