This really ticks me off.

They finally got the size cans of a particular pet food I use in locally in one of the big pet supply chain stores.  I was thrilled since they have a policy to match competitors' prices, as well.  So, I was able to buy a few cases of this food from them and they matched the price.  Great, since the small indie store doesn't always have it in stock and is a much longer drive.  I was very happy.

So, last week I went in to replenish supply.  Oh, we aren't carrying that anymore.  blah blah.  They only carried it for 2 weeks.   So, I had to go back to ordering it on-line instead.

DH thinks they stopped because they would be losing too much money by matching the local independent store prices.  Sheesh.

end of vent.

Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am....forever and ever and ever.

I guess I am in the camp of "Your Dollars are Voting for who you support"

I guess I have enough experience to not expect much different from Big Box Stores. One of the first lessons I learned in sales was Pet and Far stores aren't there to bring the best products to customers. They operate with the products that make them the most money....

I hate the big box stores . I would love to save $,but it seems I do better with coupons & discounts online or at the independants anyway. The only time I shop at them is when I can't get it at a smaller store.
