Next Sat. I am leaving for san Francisco and will be away for 6 days. Argh. I hate leaving the kitties, even though I know they will be OK with bf.

Have a safe trip, Alek.  Not as nice as Hawaii, but the weather should be pretty good in San Francisco!  The kitties will be fine, but I am sure they will miss you too.

Grin  Make you a deal, alek0.  You stay with your kitties, and I'll go to San Francisco!   Grin Right about now, after a major snowstorm, San Francisco sounds like a wonderful idea.

Seriously, I'm sure your kitties will do just fine, although I know you miss them when you are gone.  Have a wonderful trip!

Thank you, I really need to hear that they will be fine. Even though intellectually I know they should be fine, emotions and anxiety are a different matter.

Besides, weather in SF is no attraction for me. It never snows in HK either, similar temperatures Smiley

AlekO I am sure your kitties witll be just fine, although they will miss you while you are gone.

I've been to SF in the past and I did find it to have beautiful and unusual architecture. In fact, in my admittedly limited travel experience, SF and New Orleans are two of the most visually unique US cities.

So enjoy and look forward to a joyous reunion with the kitties!

Thanks, SF is indeed nice especially compared to other US cities. Its just that I've been there many times (most of conferences in my field are either in SF, San Diego, or Boston), so location is no attraction, but I have to go and I hate leaving the kitties. I am getting more stressed out as the date approaches (day after tomorrow), and not to mention that it is a rather long flight (12 h HK-SF and 15 h SF-HK, at least I upgraded to business on the way back).

Well, at least I should be able to watch Puss in Boots, Kung Fu Panda 2, Elf,  and The devil wears Prada. Does anyone know are the following any good: 30 minutes or less, Crazy, stupid, love, Dolphin Tale, Drive, The change up, The Debt, Wedding crushers, In Bruges. I can't sleep on the plane, and prefer to watch something light. Definitely not sad, since I then start thinking about missing the kitties and I cry. If I watch Lion King I have to forward through the scene where Mufasa dies otherwise I keep crying.

Dophin Tale is based on a true story, and, in the end, is a happy story.  Have a safe trip!

Wedding Crashers wasn't bad for a romantic comedy, and my mom loved Dolphin Tale.
