In my heart forever...

« on: October 12, 2007, 10:40:08 AM »

I didn't see this posted before... sorry if a repost...

August 2007:

"So far this month 1,982 camels have died. Symptoms include sweating, excitability, vomiting and fainting.

The country's Agriculture Ministry has said tests suggested the deaths were caused by animal feed which was contaminated by insecticide."

Buy local.  Buy organic.
If you ate today, thank a farmer, hopefully a small, local farmer.

Remember the thousands & thousands of pets that died to give US a wake-up call about the safety of ALL food and products.

Wow!  These deaths will surely make the bedouins see red and utter the dreaded Arab curse on whoever is responsible: "May the fleas of a thousand camels settle in their armpits!" - oh, make that TWO THOUSAND camels.

Seriously, SOMETHING must be done about the safety of animal feeds!

Now they are starting to poison animals in other countries too? Same question as I have asked couple of times - who is doing this and why are they doing it? To cause a distraction, strike fear in people - what is the goal of all this contamination and death of pets and animals?

perhaps they weren't expecting such widespread losses. maybe there was an equation that said a certain percentage may be effected and they played the odds and we lost. look at what commercial processed food has done to the population and their pets over the last decade. increases in certain diseases and conditions across the board, but scattered enough that it's not pinpointed to a specific cause. they should quit looking for genetic cause and start looking at dietary causes, imo. and not dietary as in total diet, but more specific. for kidney issues, start looking at common ingredients in processed food, for instance. that just might tell you why kidney disease is on the rise. and also, look at products in the home and start measuring the level of heavy metals etc. instead of having approved levels per item, it should be per household. and the same holds true with the diet. no more level per ingredient, but Daily Maximum Limits! OY! . . . . F*** their dilution assumptions.

straybaby agree with the statment about the dietary content. As a lot of us on here are home cooking when more and more refuse to buy the prepared cwap in a bag, box, can or jar and stop eating at the make you sick and ill places (fast food)/start making your own meals at home and save a lot of money and get healthier in the process. One thing stopping people is that they are just plain LAZY to cook. Its much easier to grab that box, pkg, etc  and nuke it rather than eat real food that is not loaded with MSG, salt, trans fat, etc. So anyone who complains about not feeling well, their joints hurt, they have high blood pressure, borderline diabetics, get real and start eating right and keep your maladies to yourself. You can't blame others-you did it and continue to do it so unless your willing to get UN-LAZY you'll continue to suffer and just get progressively worse. WE can always start with baby steps and work our way up to healthier bodies and feeling great again. Try it - you'll be amazed at how good you will feel.

i actually always home cooked and my pets were home fed (raw) before the recalls. i bought very little processed food and have never been much of a fast or convenient food person. i am rather pissed that they were sneaking in GM grains and produce in behind my back though! and i also didn't realize how bad the crap they pumped into livestock had gotten. but now that you can't trust or know where ingredients come from, including organic, i've taken it to a new level.

straybaby "taking it to a new level" I like that statement. With a lot of things sold as 'food' being modified you do have to take it to a different level but they seem to be trying to take those few safe things away by experimenting on them too. Maybe they look forward to one of their friends or relatives giving birth to a two-headed baby or one without arms or feet in place of the hands? They are opening Pandora's Box wider and wider and who is going to stop them and shut the lid?
