International Falls Daily Journal December 4, 2009

The Daily Journal/North Star Publishing and the Borderland Humane Society are again joining to provide assistance to pet owners in need this holiday season.

A Christmas tree has been placed in the lobby of The Daily Journal building as a drop-off site for the community to donate pet food and supplies. This is the third year of the program.

The donated items will be taken by the Borderland Humane Society to the Falls Hunger Coalition, where pet owners in need can select items for their four-legged family members this holiday.

Any pet food donations are to be left in sealed containers. Other suggested items are kitty litter, bones and treats, toys, food and water dishes, and collars.
