August,
I am glad that you have a answer for Yoyo's passing.  You must feel a little better knowing that there was really nothing you could have done to prevent his illness, and that it was not something that will affect the other kitties.  That doesn't make your heart feel any better or miss him any less, but it may be some measure of comfort.  {{hugs}}

 I'm glad you were able to get an answer for what happened to Yoyo. I know that with Cosmo it did make it easier knowing that it wasn't my fault and there was nothing I could have done. {hugs}

{{{hugs}}} back and so many thanks for the warmth.

Leslie, yes, I guess I could take Lulu and Chami in, but Chami is the type that would need to be sedated to get anything checked,... and Yoyo had recently been checked (for his teeth, or rather, lack thereof) and everything was, for the most part, normal.

I'm transitioning the 2nd floor off of dry food now (actually from the day I took Yoyo in and was told his kidneys were failing).  I hope that will make a difference for Lulu and Chami in the long run.

{{hugs}} Nothing you could have done for poor Yoyo.

But it might be a good idea to do a full blood panel for Chami and Lulu, just in case. If you need to sedate Chami, you might opt for an ultrasound as well at the same time.

I'm on and off the board myself.  I hate to log in and find sad posts, especially when they're from weeks before.  Everyone here is like family and I understand wanting to be here to give support.  <3  Thanks for the warmth, from everyone.

August, please forgive my very tardy message of condolences for the passing of dear Yoyo.  I have not been here very often and just saw this thread.    You have my sympathy and prayers for both you and little Yoyo.  I know too well how heart rending such a loss can be.  At least he did not suffer a long painful illness.  RIP dear little Yoyo, all your suffering is over now, and you are strong again..

Thank you, BW, for the warm message.  Things over here are good - the dynamics have changed quite a bit, but things are good.
