JM, I am glad she is home with you.  I wish there was something I could do to help.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.

This morning, I heard Twit "calling" me with 3 meows....her distinctive meow when she was behind a closed door (like bedroom) and wanted me to let her out.  A few minutes later, I got a call from vet's office that her certificate had arrived at the vet's office.  Felt good to hear her again.  I've heard and seen other cats in the past who have passed on, so it was comforting rather than startling.  I was sitting at my computer at the time I heard her.

It's so comforting to get those signs.

Although it can be upsetting, I always feel better thinking they are trying to tell us they are ok.

Yes, it is a bittersweet experience when this happens.

Agree with what leslie said - they are letting us know they arrived safely and are just fine.

{{{hugs}}}

I have had similar experiences myself shortly after I've lost a cat, only it's with sight rather than hearing.  I think I see them out of the corner of my eye.  I never know if it's a trick my mind plays on me, or truly something from another dimension.  But if there is comfort in it, I have to believe it comes from a good place.

I've had those things happen, too. They leave me sad in a way, but also with a feeling of connection.

It's so great when they visit. I'm glad she came to tell you she's doing fine.

This happens to me too.  I still see Peanut out of the corner of my eye all the time.

Just Me,  I am so sorry to hear about Twit.  I just now found this thread!
I am typing with tears in my eyes because your whole experience is so like that of my dear Skinny Bones.  She also had a saddle thrombus, but she never made it through the night at the vets, and I was sorry I had not brought her home against the advice of the vet.    I am glad Twit was able to spend her last night at home with you.

I hope she is with my Skinny and all my other angels. It is nice to think that all our beloved cats are together over the Rainbow Bridge.

I am very glad to hear that she has already contacted you to let you know that she is fine now.  That is a great comfort indeed.  Bless you and your angel Twit.

You are blessed to have heard your little baby Twit, She is home now...  I had an experience too, a dream.  I really do agree with the others, in a sense they contact us to let us know they are home and love us so, forever, until we meet again...
