My sweet boy... I miss him so much.

I keep looking at old photos, it helps to see when he was healthy and happy. I try to tell myself he had a good life, sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't... It still feels too fresh, I hope with time it will get better. At least photos and videos from happy times have helped in forgetting those last moments of rapid decline. He was such a fighter and generally happy cat, even when in the hospital except that last time. I was so hoping he would be with us for longer...

Alek,
That is a great picture of Stefie.  He was such a handsome boy!  We will always remember him here on Itchmo.  Never question that he had a very good life with you and you gave him the best care possible.  Time will dull the pain.  Keep focusing on those pictures and videos of the happy times!  That is what he would want you to do.  He is waiting at the Bridge and watching over you and his brother and sisters.  {{hugs}}

Aw that is a great picture of Stefie. It always hurts when you lose a furbaby but yes in time it does get better. I'm glad you have pics and videos, so sorry he did have a great life with you. How are the other kitties doing?

Hugs

He was indeed amazingly sweet cat. Even when he was a young kitten, I would play with him and he would sometimes forget and let his claws out and I just needed to ask him "What are you doing" and he would remember and continue playing without the claws extended. He liked to just sit there and blink until we notice him and pet him, but he really enjoyed attention and would keep grabbing my hand to continue petting him...

Younger two kitties are doing fine, Mitzie is obviously grieving for her brother. Wants more attention, seems to be having some bladder issues (just sitting on the toilet for a while before urinating), urine analysis is clear repeatedly so I am giving her Cystaid and hoping it will resolve with time. If it doesn't resolve in a month or so, we'll do ultrasound. If it is stress related, don;t want to add to her stress, but if it doesn't improve with time I would like to get to the bottom f it.

You can really see Stefie's sweet personality in that picture. He was such a special cat. Things will get better in time. The pain never goes away, you just feel it less often. {{{hugs}}}

What a nice photo of Stefie.  He looks so pleased and content.  You gave him so much love and such a wonderful home and excellent care.  Sending lots of <3 to you.
