Thoughts and prayers for all the little innocent angels. These little ones came through the rescue wire late Sunday eve with a danger date of today. Sadly, they were put down Monday AM Just a reminder to keep all the innocent ones in our thoughts and our hearts. . . . Rest in peace my spotty ones.

This is such a tragedy. Such beautiful babies without a chance at a long, happy life. I hate this part of loving the animals! Maybe if the parents' owners had to actually watch the killing it might make a difference . . .

This is overwhelmingly sad. They looked so eager for life. Poor sweet innocent babies. I have to agree with catmom5. If the parents' owners had to witness this, maybe they would have a different attitude towards altering their animals.

It makes me so angry that people keep breeding their pets so that their kids can see "the miracle of life." Let them see all the results of the "miracle." How would you like them to see the overcrowded shelters and the animals being murdered daily? How about if they have to watch those babies be born and then be killed? How about showing them an emergency spay surgery when a birth goes wrong? It's no miracle. It happens every day - too many times. I spent the first few years of my life on a farm. I saw many animals being born and have the pictures to prove it. Guess how many of those births I remember? None. Zero. The "miracle of life" doesn't make such a huge impression on little kids as their parents like to think.

Just hurts in every direction. Why bring puppies/kitties into this world without planning for their futures?

I just can't get this picture out of my mind... This is deeply upsetting to me... I rescued Leeah from death row, her tag read urgent in big red letters, and her time was already up, we drove about 4 hours to go get her (to and back)... I saw her picture on petfinders and just couldn't get her off of my mind, and we weren't even looking to adopt at the time... but truley, it was we who were rescued, as she has been such a great blessing to us. I just wish these little babies were given a chance to be loved, to be cared for!!! What is worse is that this story is repeated hundreds and hundreds of times every single day. My foster dogs were left out in the wilderness to fend for themselves as puppies a little younger than these sweet angels. They were just about on thier last leg when someone found them... they are brother and sister. I wonder many many times if they had other sibblings that just didn't make it. Im really having a rough time with this... thank you Straybaby for posting them, here they will be loved... even so in death (through absolutly no fault of thier own).

So sad, I had been browsing on petfinder, thinking I might adopt an older cat to be a friend for Socks and after a few times I wanted to cry every time so I had to stop looking. SO many sad stories, so many kitties and dogs too. There is a shelter in Salem MA that brings in dogs from Mexico, has been for years. Apparently there are not enought dogs in this area but not the case for cats, plenty of those. Judy

Caring is such a double-edged sword. Bless the folks on Itchmo who remember and cherish babies like these.

Why do cats always jump on your lap with their claws out? Especially when you are wearing shorts?
